Over the past nearly three years, Jacob Powroznik has been on fire in the FLW Tour Majors. The last time he didn’t cash a check was in March of 2011, when he finished in 70th place on Lake Hartwell. Since then, he has rattled off 16 consecutive Tour Major finishes inside the 50. (As posted on BassFan.com)
During the streak, he has proven his versatility by recording top 10 finishes on a variety of fisheries including Beaver Lake, Kentucky Lake, Lake Champlain, and Lewis Smith.
Powroznik’s accomplishment of 16 consecutive Tour Major cashes is even more impressive considering that the current longest consecutive streak of top 50 finishes in FLW Tour Majors by Andy Morgan, Bryan Thrift, Brent Ehrler, or David Dudley is currently 8 tournaments (Andy Morgan).
In 2013, Powroznik was in the check line in all 11 tournaments that he entered. In addition to the six FLW Tour Major cashes, Powroznik finished in 24th place at the Forrest Wood Cup, and had finishes of 25th, 3rd, and 9th place in the Bassmaster Northern Opens to finish in 2nd place in the Northern Open Point standings. He also logged a 3rd place finish in the Toyota Texas Bass Classic on Lake Conroe.
In the past 25 professional tournaments that Powroznik has entered dating back to March of 2012, Powroznik has finished outside the top 50 in the standings just one time.
